Sigwarth, Wilgenbusch Headline Duhawks’ Ten A-R-C Weekly Honors

Duhawks earned ten American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Player of the Week awards, including sweeping the Male and Female Athletes of the Week with senior football quarterback Noah Sigwarth (’22) taking the nod in addition to Offensive Player of the Week and women’s volleyball senior Lyndsi Wilgenbusch (’22) taking the Female Athlete and Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Duhawks Secure Program’s First IWLCA Academic Awards

For the first time in program history, the Loras College women’s lacrosse team was named as an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2021 Academic Team in addition to Clare Brunn (’22), Kayla Tilkes (’21) and Katlynne Wolf (’21) earning Academic Honor Roll status. To earn team honors, programs must have a 3.2 team GPA or higher for the academic year and junior, senior or graduate student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA or higher are eligible for individual honors.

Hall of Fame Retrospective: Most Reverend John J. Paul (’39)

A three-sport athlete, Paul showed his prowess on the basketball court, football field and baseball diamond while at Loras. Despite the Duhawks’ 12-20-1 record on the gridiron during his years at Loras, Paul collected Iowa Conference honors as a sophomore. He would also serve as co-captain on the hardwood as Loras tallied a 49-28 record in four seasons.
