Media Studies Professor & Alum Receive Highest Achievement for Short Film Editing at the Iowa Motion Picture Awards

Associate Professor of Media Studies Seth D. Myers and Loras Alum John Spencer (Woerdehoff) ’18 took home the Award of Excellence for Editing-Short Form for their work on the film Bella at the Iowa Motion Picture Awards Virtual Event. The Iowa Motion Picture Awards yearly recognizes outstanding creative and technical achievement in Iowa’s moving image production industry, in all its forms — in twenty-two Program Categories and twenty-five Craft Categories.

Loras College ranked 16th Best Regional College: Midwest by U.S. News and World Report

Loras College has been named the 16th Best Regional College in the Midwest – a 12-state region – according to the 2021 U.S. News Best Colleges rankings released Monday. Loras also ranked tenth in Best Value and was one of three schools in Iowa to make the Best Undergraduate Engineering Program list.

Audrey Miller (’20) Named CAS Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Adding to her list of distinguished awards, Loras College women’s cross country and track and field alumna Audrey Miller (’20) has been named the Chi Alpha Sigma Scholar Female Athlete of the Year by the national honor society for student-athletes. Miller becomes the first recipient from Loras and the second female honoree for the organization after the inception of the awards during the 2018-19 academic year.

Miller Earns A-R-C Nomination for NCAA Woman of the Year Award
