Duhawk Spotlight: Jon Quinn (’21)

Jon Quinn (’21)

  • Major: Media Studies and Public Relations (Minors in Journalism, Rhetoric & Public Writing)
  •  Hometown: Kenosha, WI

I chose to come to Loras College due to its outstanding media studies program and the genuine community connections you make on campus.

I have been quite active since I have been a Duhawk. I played volleyball my first two years on campus. I’ve been and editor at The Lorian for the last three years. Executive editor this last year. I’m also a resident advisor/community assistant for residence life.

After graduation, I’m looking to land a job in production. I’ve applied to a few places on the east and west coasts but also have back-up jobs in Memphis and Chicago. Of the many things I have done during my time at Loras, what really stands out is spending long nights in the media lab making spontaneous music videos and learning how to become better at creating video and film.

Learn more about Jon’s filmmaking and hear him discuss making a documetary on his mother.

Loras College Forward Thinking will be spotlighting Black students, including Terrianna, all month on Twitter.
