Duhawks Preparing for a Field of Dreams

Next week, Major League Baseball will arrive just down the road from Dubuque for its first Field of Dreams game in Dyersville, Iowa, between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees on August 12. Before the first pitch is thrown until after the final out is recorded, Duhawks will be on-site to help make everything run smoothly.

A combination of current students, alumni and faculty members will be a part of the event, helping out in different capacities. They will gain their game assignments and orientation on August 11 before the game the following day.

For those Loras community members who won’t be working or attending the game, the College is hosting a watch party in the Rock Bowl Stadium. Students, faculty and staff can bring their family members to campus as the game will be streamed on the new video board.

Be sure to check back on the Loras Daily website as some students and faculty members share their experiences working at an MLB game in the shadow of Loras College.
