In Pictures: The CARESLab Grand Opening

The Loras College Cancer Research in Exercise Science Laboratory (CARES Lab) hosted its grand opening on May 7 to a small collection of guests. The space was originally slated to open in May 2020 but was delayed to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Keith Thraen-Borowski shared his thanks to all individuals who played a role in creating a new space for the CARESLab in Keane Hall and supporting the efforts to bring it to life. Loras College President Jim Collins (’84) praised Dr. Thraen-Borowski’s efforts and spoke of the partnerships with MercyOne, Medical Associates and the support of the Board of Trustees in making the CARESLab a reality. After a blessing by Fr. Dustin Vu, Dr. Thraen-Borowski was joined by seven of his students as they cut a ribbon to officially open the space.
