Looking Back at 2020: The Show Goes On
Loras students looking forward to playing live music or giving theatrical performances in front of audiences had to adjust due to the cancellation of large group gatherings in 2020.
Instead of wallowing in disappointment, the vocal choirs and music ensembles utilized virtual platforms to share out their talents. Likewise, the Loras Players went ahead with radio performances of classic stories to stretch their acting chops and provide entertainment to a wide audience.
Collected below are some of the notable performances from 2020.
“O Most Merciful” by the Loras Concert Choir
HG Wells’ The War of the Worlds by the Loras Players
“Horn of Puente” by the Loras Jazz Ensemble
Henry Purcell’s “Hear My Prayer, O Lord” by the combined Loras choirs
The Miracle on 34th Street by the Guild of St. Genesius
