Jamie Engelke (’20)
Hometown: Fort Atkinson, Wis.
Major: Business Administration and Marketing majors, International Studies minor

While at Loras, I have been most active in Dance Marathon and PBL Business Club, as well as the Senior Honors program.

One thing that I noticed throughout my four years at Loras is how great the community is. I never could have imagined the support that everyone at Loras has given me including my fellow classmates, faculty, staff, and even the alumni. Everyone truly wants you to succeed. I believe it is this community support that makes Loras a special place.

Some of my favorite memories come from my J-term classes. I was fortunate enough to travel to Prague and San Francisco my Junior and Senior year for J-term. On these trips I was able to experience new cultures, learn more about the history of each city, and meet some incredible people. I also enjoyed working with my friends in campus dinning my first two years at Loras. We always found a way to make work fun. Homecoming and Duhawk Day are also some of my favorite days in the year getting to watch the Loras community come together as well as celebrating with my fellow Duhawks.

While I do not have a job lined up yet, I would like to work as a marketer specializing in advertising.
