Wubben Taking Her Talents to South Beach for Applied Mathematics Internship

Hannah Wubben (’22) is expanding on her Loras experiential learning experience through a summer internship that will take her to different locations in southern Florida to study projects in applied mathematics.

Hannah Wubben (’22)

Wubben will spend June and July in Miami studying differential equations, Fourier analysis, Math Biology, Nonlinear waves, Applied Topology and Wavelets at Florida International University.

“I can’t wait to get started and working with the material we will be covering,” Wubben said. “There are different areas to work with, and it will be more specialized, so it should be a great experience.”

A Galena, Ill. native, Wubben is pursuing a double major in mathematics and computer science with a minor in engineering.

“I am looking forward to getting experiences outside of the classroom and learning beyond the Loras campus. I can’t wait to interact with people from all across the U.S. and from different backgrounds,” she said.

Throughout the internship, Wubben will share updates through social media and takeover the Loras Softball Instagram Account with photos and stories of her experiences.
